Penny, just because you love Orlando doensnt mean that Will turner is better... he's really goodlooking, like Jack, but u know....... he's like.... a person.... that doesnt really do anything....... u nkow, but jack, c'mon, he's funny, he's hot, he's smart, he's kind, he's A PIRATE, and i can go on forever and ever....... and will? he's cute alright, he's...... half a pirate...... what else?  ? orlando's cool though! and johnny...... don't even ask me...... so, well, if u disagree, i guess i can make peace with the fact that everyone has different opinions...... |

True, true. But I think you have to make peace with 'Everyone has differnt opinions', because I know she'll disagree. Yes, I disagree. Jack might be whatever you said about him, but Will... he would die for Elizabeth, do you think Jack would die just to rescue someone else? Certainly not. |

I'm terribly sorry, but I have to disagree. We don't know much about Jack, do we? He's really good at hiding what he's really up to, what he thinks and what he feels. So, we can't definitely say how he thinks about the single characters and so I won't say that he'd just go through anything to save someone. He's the kind of person who thinks before doing something, while Will, unlike Jack, would do anything at once to save Elizabeth. That's certainly quite good sometimes, but it can also totally fail. But I'm sure that Jack would do a lot to save someone. Let's take the Black Pearl. I know it's not the perfect example, but let's have him this little tick. He does do a lot to get her back, but he always planns his next steps. I just remembered a nice little sentence from Will. You've planned all this. Since you've first heard my name. Or something like this. I think this shows that he always knows what to do in every kind of situation and that he never loses the review about (?) the happenings. His drunken attitude definitely shows something else, but I think that's his advantage. Other people don't take him seriously. Barbossa: I must admit that I thought I knew what you were up to, but it seems that you are hard to see through. He always knows what has to be done while others think he's a little crazy. And it seems that his attitude shows him a bit non-caring - which is totally wrong. Has he ever failed Will or Elizabeth? No, he hasn't. He had so many chances just to go away and leave them at their own, but he didn't. He saved Elizabeth and he saved Will. I think Will and Jack have a special connection. For me, Jack becomes something like an older brother (or even more?) for Will. He always tells him what to do so nothing bad happens to him. (Unfortunately Will doesn't always listen) He's never abandoned a friend and I think that he doesn't give up hope easily and that he'd maybe die for another person. Duh, that was long! ;D |
